Will a ProClip device mount work with a Kuda car mount?

I like the ProClip device mounts that swivel and adjust for devices in cases (for iPhone and iPod) and wonder if they will work with the Kuda mounting base without any special retrofits, parts, etc.

I definitely prefer the ProClip device mounts but I am a bit torn on what mounting base I prefer. (ProClip or Kuda)

Thanks in advance for your feedback. This would be for my 2008 MCS.

As long as the rear mounting plate has a three or four hole screw mounting system then there should be no problem. I believe that most of the ProClip swivel mounts can come this way.

The only problem that i could see is that the swivel mount is so thick that it puts the item to close to teh steering wheel when mounted on the kuda mount.

Works perfectly for me. I use my Kuda for my Cell phone w/ a proclip mount - I prefer the non-swivel pro clip as well - it is more secure and farther away from the steering wheel as schatzy has suggested.

Thanks everyone so far.

To be more specific, I was planning to go with the Kuda mount that goes to the right of the stereo system. It should be the first one listed here: http://www.kudausa.com/kuda_mount_an...07-34-529.html

I was planning to go with this ProClip mount which states it comes with six pre-drilled holes for mounting:

It looks like these two should work but just want to make sure before ordering parts from two different vendors...... thanks again.

Well if we had known which one you were actually looking at I would have stated no problems at all. Six holes in the longer style that goes to the right of the stereo should be no problem. Just make sure the ProClip base you are looking at is no wider than the face of the Kuda Mount which is about the same width as a iPod (they don't actually give dimensions on their web site)
