full signal help

I have a stock 2006 S, the previous owner had polk components installed.
They just took the lower speaker line to the xover then out to the new speakers. I don't fell like I am getting the full high end signal. Is there a xover between the door speaker leads and the head unit or is there some xover going on in the head unit.
Thanks
Bruce

If you have an hk amp, xovering occurs in the amp. Not sure if there is a low pass on the bottom driver, but it definitely makes sense.
