Hello, I just purchased a 2009 MINI Cooper S. I've been using the USB/Audio input cable/iPod adapter with my 2nd Generation iPod. There is a very annoying squeal when using this configuration and it's driving me crazy! Is this an issue that I can fix or should I take it back to my dealer?

I've been considering purchasing the OEM iPod interface, just to make for a cleaner installation, but it's a high price to pay just so I don't see a cable.

Your input would be very helpful.

Hi 2Duhpub, welcome to NAM!

I can get a similar noise if the headphone jack isn't connected all the way in- if you can't get it straightened out by making sure the jack is seated completely it could be a bad connection on the car side of the 3.5mm jack, and I'd take it to the dealer and have them get it working correctly.
