I have been looking every wheres but can't find a section on this... (maybe i'm the only one" )

When you first enter your car, the "Mini" logo displays on the screen. Is there a way to make this logo stay and appear always?


Also, is there a way to turn of the annoying safety notice pop-up?

So if you want the logo on all the time, it means you want to completely disable the navigation function? It can probably be done with a software hack but I doubt anybody else has wanted to do it, so you'll have to figure it out on your own.

The newer versions of Nav firmware automatically dismiss the warning after 8 seconds. To completely disable the warning, you can put the Nav unit into UK mode which has no warning. You can do it by downgrading the firmware (you can then upgrade it back but it will stay in UK mode). The map units will be in yards instead of feet and the computer will use imperial gallons for mpg calculations. You won't be able to return it to USA mode unless you use NavCoder software or have a dealer recode the unit.

Mine is being Upgraded tomorrow at Prestige, there was some very intresting stuff on that Xoutpost site and i am going to try some of it and see how it works

 

Prestige upgraded my firmware today and that annoying saftey notice now goes away by itself. this took the dealer less then 10 minutes to do and there was no charge. Nav works much better with the upgrade

How exactly would you like it to work? If the logo stays on, it prevents the Nav from displaying anything.

 

I agree why would you want it on all the time?
