I burned an mp3 disk and seem to noticed that it intermittently gets
ejected from the player when I sometimes come back to the car. A
previous disk use to play fine but sometimes gets ejected. After awhile
it would not load at all. I tried burning another disk and it reads fine
but noticed that it's now getting ejected also. Could this have something
to do with the quality of the disk used? I'm using some blank nonbranded
CDs probably not of the highest quality. Thanks.

 

From what I am guessing you need a better CD-R blank. Whenever I power up the car (unlocking or opening the door) I can hear the disc spinning up and being read. So what is happening is that the disc is occasionally not being read and ejected as an invalid disc. That could be due to condensation as well. But disc quality is most likely your problem.

I ***HIGHLY**** recommend Taiyo Yuden discs (available from Meritline.com and others) they have been the best blank discs for around ten years and I have not had one yet fail on me in that period of time. I don't buy any other discs because they were all junk in comparison.

That is what I use in my Cooper with no problems.

 

I concur with Strobey.. you probably have some crummy media, and TY definitely makes some good stuff. That said, most of it out there is pretty good nowadays, and I don't think as much bad generic media is floating around as was a couple of years ago.
