Factory Nav Replacement?

Has anyone replaced the factory nav? Looks like it's deep enough to throw a Tom Tom or something similar in there. Are there newer Nav DVD's than the 2005 disc? Thanks!

I suppose you can remove the screen itself (item #2). Item #1 is necessary because it contains the electronics for all the instrument gauges

You can purchase the newest map DVDs here: http://store.minigpsmaps.com. If you don't need the latest, look on eBay for lower prices.

If your Nav still has the original firmware from 2005, you can update it for slightly improved graphics. The update also automatically dismisses the warning screen after a short time. You can download and burn a firmware updater CD (see here) or purchase the firmware updater CD from a dealer for about $10 (part # 01 59 0 141 891).
