No; there is no keyboard. When you want to enter in an address, or location, you go to a menu, which displays the alphabet; you then turn a **** below the display to "scroll" thru the letters; then "press" the button to "select" one. As you enter more letters, it trys to "guess" what you're trying to spell. Works better than it sounds; but I DON'T recommend you try it in rush hour traffic with your Latte and cell phone.

Once you enter a location, then it can be shown on the "map" display; you can zoom in or out, watch your progress, get instructions on how to turn on the various roads to your location.

Works pretty slick!
