Stupid question...[sub box]

So...we all know the MINI doesn't have the best amount of space in the back, so I was wondering what kind of sub box I should get. Should I get a truck box and put it on it's back? If that'll work.

I was looking into getting a sub/amp for my R50. Went to a local audio shop with a stellar reputation. They could not get the smallest sub box to fit properly in the boot, and will have to custom build one to fit the dimensions. It didn't add much to the total cost of the system. Custom may be the best way to go.

That said, I have seen a few custom sub boxes come in up the marketplace here.

I really couldn't say, you'd have to measure the dimensions of your boot and compare them to the dimensions of the box you're considering to be sure.

The one that would almost but not quite fit was for a single 10" sub. It was about 1" too deep to fit flush on one side of the boot floor.

I did just that!

Today I got the Rockford fosgate ps3 truck box and it fit nearly as well as a custom or lid style box for far less cash ($200). Left just enough room to keep my tire change kit strapped down. I'll post pics in the am when I can find some light.

The edge of the cone is 11" and the trim ring is a little over 12". It takes up the entire width of the box, very little space between top and bottom.
