Does anyone have the part number for the iphone 4 adapter for the center consol (arm rest) on an '07 R56 with the convience package and no nav? One that will charge and play misic. I've searched through the forum and could only find issues with a possible late 2011 fix.

I might be wrong, but in 2007 Mini did not have a car that could play music through the dock. Before my 2011 I had a 2008. I don't thinkI could listen to music with it. I think in 2009 you could if you ordered the smart phone prep package.

 

So what is the push in adapter thing for in the armrest? Just to charge the phone? But they put an AUX input in the center on the dash. Hmmm the engineers weren't earning thier pay checks that year were they.

 

Yes, it just charges. Also better antenna.
