R50 Dash radio volume **** not working

Hello All,

I have searched the forum for my problem but have found nothing. My wife has a 2002 Mini Cooper with stock radio and the volume **** on the dash does not work. She can adjust the volume with the volume control on the steering wheel.

Any suggestions?

if you are handy with electronics check the volume pot with a multimeter and see if it has any resistance

Easiest solution is just to get a new head unit. They can be had for less than $100. And while you're at it, upgrade to the '05+ version that plays MP3s.
