Does anyone know what the App update released yesterday was for? I didn't notice any differences while using the App with the update installed.

 

Not sure exactly. Seems to studder a but when launching. Not sure if its new but you can see torque in ft. lbs. now under Driving Excitement gauges.

 

In the previous version (2.5.0) I had access to the Google Search and Send-to-Car features, although I'm in a country that doesn't have access to it (Brazil).
In this uptade (2.6.0) they removed that.
That was the biggest difference for me
Why wouldn't they grant us access to those features, given that it already happened and it was awesome!

 

my video playback seems to no longer work too! in park or in drive, wtf???? wonder if VIM coding is related to that? not much was listed in the change log; just some prettier looking indicators in Driving Excitement app and thats about all. also my External > iPod source skips like and stutters when first launching; seems like a downgrade imo.

 

an update on video:

works fine w/my Y adapter but nothing is working on my snap-in in regards to music playing and videos. my $250 snap-in may have went bad after a mere 2 months.. grr..

 

Uninstall the app from your phone, go to settings and in safari select "remove cookies". Then reinstall the app. You should be good to go.

 

Try removing your snap in and reseating it. That worked when I thought mine was bad.

 

wow.. thats a bit weird of a fix if that works.. don't get why this would even work honestly since my Y adapter works fine for everything but i will give it a try

i have already tried reseating the snap-in several times w/no luck. mini connected works but can't play music or view vids.

i'll update as i test this out.

 

Update: that totally worked! (deleting app, clearing cookies) but sadly all of my previous mini connected data was lost though :(

def going to let mini know about this, not cool that my all my driving excitement stats are now wiped (was at level 92 too!)
