Hi guys:

just noticed that my 06 works speaker is not working. how can I test if it's the speaker, or maybe it's the radio setting?

Its could be the connection at the terminals or the speaker is dead. This speaker is located at the bottom of the front door ( woofer ).

Do you have the H/K system ( States Harman / Kardon on the silver-ish speaker grille ) ?

If so:

Harman Kardon Loudspeaker For HK Systems - Front - Priced Each Part # 65139143273

If the stock system:

Loudspeaker For Stock Systems - Front - Priced Each Part # 65139143271

Thanks

nobody in their right mind would replace the stock paper junk speakers with another.

especially without reading all the dead HK amp threads first and then measuring the suspect driver with a multimeter.

You'll have to determine whether the issue is with the speaker or HK amp (which is prone to failure). Check with a meter as suggested by joylove, or swap the left and right side speakers (if the problem switches side, it is the speaker).

As suggested...you could swap speakers...give you a chance to look at the wiring...see if the issue follows the part moved...
If it does...buy a new PAIR of speakers.....if the problem stays in the same spot...the you need to look at the wiring, or even the head unit (radio)....
HK systems have lots of amp issues....it becomes a $$$ fix or a complete rewire for a aftermarket radio....
