Connected Question - wire vs bt

Hello everyone!

I'm confused about something... Having the Mini Connected, is there any difference in functionality if my iphone is connected via Bluetooth versus Y cable? Is there an advantage to one or the other, or is it exactly the same thing? Basically, i need to know if i need the Y cable...

Thanks

In general a wire provides more robust data transfer and power to the phone. In general I look for a wired solution for long term use. When I have used Bluetooth systems, they can be very convenient, they just work without you connecting anything. I've also never had a problem with the signal, so the wire being more robust doesn't have any practical effect I've noticed.

There is a theory that the encoding used by Bluetooth isn't that good for audio quality. I'm not convinced.
