I have installed this nuvi 2798 into my 2008 Mini Cooper S and the backup camera works for about 10 secs then turns off as if power was removed.

I have the camera and wireless transmitter wired to my backup lights, blue/gray -power and brown - ground. If I press the start button for a very short time then quickly move to reverse I'll be in reverse without the car running. In this mode the backup camera works fine as long as I don't start the car. When I do it lasts for about 10 secs and switches to navigation mode. It will not work again until I shut off power to the car and restart.

I've installed this same GPS with another camera in my 2001 vette and it works fine. With the vette in storage I'd hoped to use this nice 7in GPS in the Mini. My guess is there's some sort of radio interference but I have no idea what could be running at 2.4 ghz in the Cooper.

Anyone else run into this issue?
