I can help with the 12v socket if you like. I got the parts from West Marine and installed the socket in my euro parcel shelf. It works great.

On the bluetooth kits... I have the SE HCB-30 in my MINI, it needs to pair every time if you switch handsets. I also put a Parrot CK3000 in my Z3 Coupe. It seems to remember a number of handsets and allows you to setup voice dialing by sync the phone's contacts! Very, very cool. In retrospect, I think Parrot is doing a better job than SonyEricsson on the kits. Especially when it comes to true voice activation, using wordspotting. I'll be able to say "activate subspace link" or maybe just "telephone" and a name to dial a number in my contacts.

Fun, fun, fun... of course all these neat projects most likely void the warrenty on your dashboard wiring harness! Always issues!

ps. Anyone pair the Motorola V600 or any Microsoft smartphone with a kit yet?
