I am told the iPOD can't be used with the Sirius (w/navigation) because they connect to the same spot.....Would it be possible to put a switch in to allow you to connect both and switch b/w the two?

 

Might work if you turned the radio off before the switch.


I think I read either here or MINI2 that someone got both working by basically making one custom harness for both by taking them apart and installing all the pins into one connector. Seems that while they use the same physical connector, there are different pins, you just can't normally plug into all of them at the same time. I might be totally wrong about it but I would at least pull teh radio and check the pinouts on the back for everthing.

 

That's a distinct possibility... Do you have HK? The HU for the HK actually has two connectors in the back, so you can have the NAV and the iPod connector

 

I have the Nav and the Ipod... I know you can have the Nav and the Sirius or the Nav and the Ipod, but not the Nav+Ipod+Sirius

 

But do you have HK?

Compare the Nav Ipod and Sirius connectors... If they don't share any pins on the connector it shouldn't be a problem to pop open the connector and insert the pins in the vacant slots if you don't have HK and thereby only have a single input plug on the back of the radio.
