Can MFSW control aftermarket systems?

Does anyone know if there is an adaptor available so that the MFSW can control an aftermarket stereo system? Specifically, I'm thinking of foregoing the HK stereo/Nav option in my soon-to-be ordered MCS and instead installing a Pioneer HU that has CD/DVD/NAV. Is this something blitzsafe would make? The model of headunit I'm thinking of getting is the AVIC-N2.

mikeythemini has MFSW adapters for a wide variety of aftermarket head units. They work either by connecting directly or by using the head unit's IR remote control. See this at Mini2: http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36156

See the adapters offered at NewMINIStuff.com: https://www.newministuff.com/new/sho...products&cat=3

I have H/K and willing to change the head unit with alpine that will support XM as well, any problems if I go with a different head unit and an XM radio receiver? I really hate the aftermarket XM radios that stick outside, looks cheap.

I think you can use the Boost head to drive the HK system.

I hate to say do a search, but I don't remember where I read the post. It was here, or Mini2.....

But you do that, and you can get the XM support that comes in the Boost head unit, and MFSW control of station up down (I think, I don't have it installed in mine) but it's all covered in the posts, if you can find them.
