i am soon recieving my mini and and am gonna throw in my 1400 watt sony xplod sub(XS-LD125P5). but i sold my old amp (sony 1600 watt XM-DS1600P5 (bad ***!!))and have a crappy crossfire 200 watt amp. and am looking for the best amp availible. i am willing to pay $350 at most but $250-300 would be great. also, i was wondering what the best way to wire the sub would be. thanks!!

you dont need that kind of power for such a small airspace. Talking about a grossly unblanced stereo system.

I ran one 10 inch infinity 1030 and an MTX 350 watt amp. with the sub turned towards the hatch, it gives it a very deep, clean, and very crisp sound. if you go way to big all it will do is drone out the rest of the levels of music and it will sound like crap.

you may want to look at the V12 series from Alpine. I used them in the wifes car and they sound really good for the money!!
