any tips for removing the center dash piece by the speedo?

I worked on it last night and after I removed the three screws I couldn't figure out how to remove it and my bentley manual was oh so helpful(NOT!).

Did I miss a screw or ? I looked at the mini2 faq and it didn't work. I am going to try again tonight.

Oh, and for the knee bloster piece, do I just keep twisting it to remove? The center of it seem to be attached quite firmly and I didn't want to force anything.

Thanks for any info.

For the knee bolster piece, I just yanked it w/ force and it came off.. it didn't break anything... what are you twisting?? I may be wrong here, since I didn't do any twisting.. Euro shelf install ... Hope this helps..

3 screws ? I think I only had to remove 2 screws unless I was missing one , but I ended up just using a bit of a force to yank the console by the speedo off

Good luck..

Thanks for the reply.

I thought it was three screws! I tried with both and I failed. But I didn't use a lot of force.

The knee thing I yanked down and it dropped but I wasn't able to remove it. The middle hing provided some resistance so I stopped to reevaluate the situation.

Yeah I noticed it too being hard to pull off (knee bolster) and I ended up scratching my head and "re-evaluating it", but in the end, I just decided to yank it a bit harder..

Going to use much more force tomorrow! I'll let you know how it goes.
