NAV voice help needed
HELP!!!
My original stock Boost indash was replaced due to chronic CD skipping.
The replacement unit had the newer "knobby" volume pot. and was capable of playing MP3s from burned CDs.
I have the Harmon Kardon option and the OEM navigation system.
After replacement the navigation voice no longer worked. Each time the voice was supposed to give directions it merely silenced the radio/head unit.
The dealer replaced the NAV system and still no voice........
Any ideas????
The car is a 2003 Mini Cooper S with AM/FM/CD Harmon Kardon and NAV originally and now with the MP3 capable head unit.

The dealer can't figure it out?
Sounds like someone forgot to plug the Nav into the stereo, but I can't imagine they'd overlook THAT. Have you checked the sound levels on both the Nav and the stereo? If you press and hold the 'music symbol' button you can scroll to get to a 'Nav' setting that adjusts it relative to the stereo volume. Doubtful that's the issue, but worth checking.
I'm amazed they'd replace the Nav given the coincidence of the new stereo.

They've now installed a reman. '03 Boost AM/FM/CD and the NAV works fine.
It seems impossible to put an '05 Boost AM/FM/CD/MP3 into an 03 MCS with HK & NAV and have the NAV voice working.
If anyone has a solution, please advise.
