Navigation & Audio Power Accoustik amp question

Power Accoustik amp question
I was curious what the general consensus was on Power Accoustik amplifiers? I'm toying with the idea of getting one to replace my old Rockford Fosgate 4-channel amp. It died on me last week, so I'm in the market to replace it.
My only real requirement is that it provides at least 50 watts RMS x 4 channels, and ideally will fit in an 11" squared space (size of the cutout in the box for the old amp).
The other amp I was looking at is the Alpine MRV-F345, but it'll be too big for the current box cutout (I've been thinking of building a new box anyway).
Any recommendations for one amp vs the other, or any alternate amps to look into? Ideally, I'd like to keep the cost of the new amp under $300.
Thanks in advance,
Jay

I prefer the Alpine over the Power Accoustik. Another good company to look into would be Phoenix Gold. Over at www.thezeb.com you can get a xenon 100x4 for 299. Great amp with really good SQ. Also look at JBL amps. Many overlook these amps but they are very competive in SQ..
Hope this helps..

EDIT: If you mount your amp to your sub box your going to kill your amp over time! The vibrations on the box are terrible on the amps internals!! Mount your new amp elsewhere if you can.. That's probably why your RF died...

Ahh good to know about the vibrations being bad for the amp. It makes sense, I just never thought of it like that. I kind of wanted to build a different style box anyway, and consider mounting the amps under the drivers seat and the passengers seat, and using the boot space soley for the sub enclosure.
It's going to be a project that has to wait a few weeks though
