Anyone Got A NEW iPod?
So, has anyone tried hooking up the new iPods? The ones that do video, etc?
I'm wondering if the ICE>Link will handle the newer iPods or what options are out there now.
Anyone have any first hand experience? I currently have the ICE>Link Plus, but I'm getting ready to upgrade my iPod, so I'm wondering if it will work.
Thanks!

I have the iceLink Plus and tried a friend's iPod video the other day. It seemed to work just fine, and the screen is much brighter and easier to read than my 3G iPod. I use the Dension cradle mounted on the Panavise bracket. The only real issues are that the new iPod has squared off edges on the face of the unit and so the cradle isn't as form-fit as with older iPods. Also the mew iPods are a bit thinner, so, if I had one, I would have to fashion something to sit in the cradle behind the iPod (I think the cradle may even have such a thing - I have a 40GB 3G iPod and so I didn't install it, but I think there was a spacer for thinner iPods).
All-in-all it seemed to work fine.

However i don't have the Dension, i just have an older iPod dock with the audio out connected to my Auxillary in on my factory headunit. I'll post pictures later.

I have the new iPod with video and tried connecting it to my friend's Alpine CDA-9855 HU and it worked fine, so I assume that all of the Alpine "iPod Ready" head units will work with the new iPod as well.

can someone post a link to this ICE>Link Plus installed, pics of the connector that goes into the iPod (so I can figure out how the modify one of the small cup holders to hold the Ipod), with a part number and website? I've been spending quite a bit of time reading all the posts about installing the iPod but I have a hard time finding the above information. Thanks!!!
