AUX port & iPod: can they coexist?

Currently I have the H/K system w/ipod adapter. I also have a dash/pillar mountable XM radio that I'd now like to incorporate into the sound system. So I would need the aux port for the MX add-on. As the title says: can the two types of adapters coexist?

I haven't been able to find any "deffinitive" data on this so it would be interesting to know if any of you are running a similar setup. Thanks!

From what I've read, I think you can do both, since you have to cut into the original wiring when you connect the iPOD adapter, and when you install the AUX adapter, you just plug it into an open jack on the back of the head unit.

You select AUX from the mode options for using the AUX input and I understand the iPOD option comes up only if you've got an iPOD attached.

Anyone with different info?

Yes you can have both! I have both and a NAV system. You can't have the iPod and the factory CD changer though. As mentioned above the AUX input just plugs into the back of the radio.

Very cool! I knew that the cd-changer and ipod adapter couldn't live together... I just wasn't sure about the aux port. I'll now be ordering the aux kit and installing the plug under the radio, out of sight. Thanks!

I've got one still in factory packaging that I'll sell you for $30 shipped via USPS (sell for $40 at the dealer and elsewhere).

Let me know if you're interested, I was just about to put it up in the Marketplace!
