Is this for '03's only? ...I don't need to be pointlessly teased.

That's really cruel... more info needed!!!!!!

I would love to hook up my iPod to my MINI. Just a few questions I have:
How hard is it?
What is required in terms of materials?
Where did you put the plug?

Don't just leave us hanging here...

No kidding.

"Hey! I just found a way to make my Mini 300HP! It costs .35 cents and takes 10 seconds! Plus, best of all it doesn't void the warranty. I'll post about it someday."

Keeerist.

"***** tease" they are, all of 'em.

You can easily hook your iPod up to your Mini through a Blitzsafe AUX unit - in terms of materials, you just need the interface (V.1 I believe), about 15' of RCA cables and a 1/8" jack to RCA connector (someone correct me if I have that jack size wrong).

You can read all about it here by being a MCO member - just click HERE and click on the drop down menu above to "Blitzsafe Mini Install"

We sell them as well - just click HERE.

Yes, I know you can but I would much rather run ~1 foot of cable rather than 15 feet. Besides, what if I already have a cd-changer and want to hook up my iPod?

Also has anyone made an input jack out of the blank toggle switch placeholder? I haven't torn mine apart yet so I don't know what it looks like behind it but I think it would be really cool.
-Chris
p.s. I really don't like loose wires dangling around the pedals which I think the Blitzsafe approach would do.

The cost is under 10 dollars, and works right off the buttor on the right side of the back of the steering wheel It will entail, removing the CD-Changer Plug from the Back of the Head Unit, Cutting it to remove the KEY from it so that it will fit in the other posisition, and then rearranging the wires so that they match the correct pins on the head unit, I am going to have a complete wirteup by the end of tonight.. just need time.. started to install my ne breakpads, but didn't have a 7mm Allen wrench, so now to the How to. It will be on my site

MiniPilo,

Did you look into the possibility of just buying a CD changer plug so as to not ruin the one that is currently there? Other than that, GREAT write up. I know the Blitzsafe is an option, but at $100 plus having to run a cable all the way up, its a bit much. Also, can you get a picture of the finished look of the toggle switch panel with the input jack??

Thanks

I did not lookinto it, as I don't ever care to have a cd-changer, That is why god gave me hands!

Besides that, I don't see the point of having a CD Changer if you are gonna have an MP3 player...that's the ULTIMATE Changer...lol.

I just meant it more as a "Just in case you sell it" type question (though I'll never sell my MINI) for the general public.

OK, Give. How did you change the display to say WARP DRIVE 7? I'd love mine to say iPOD when the aux is enabled.

Thanks
