Just don't store any dead aliens in the trunk...

>>Can't decide between "Green Onions" by Booker T & the MGs, and the theme from Repo Man, by Iggy Pop.

I'm still undecided as to what song I will play when I drive off in my MINI. It all depends on my mood, the weather, and how strange the day is. So far I'm down to in no particular order...

Portishead-Mysterons
Radiohead-Airbag
Belle and Sebastian-The State I Am In
Cure-Mint Car
Smiths-There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
Fountains of Wayne-Survival Car
Pulp-Common People
Depeche Mode-Never Let Me Down Again
Bjork-Its Oh So Quiet

Oh hell I don't know
 Cheers!

I've decided that I'm going to play a track from the score of gone in sixty seconds titled "bad man" as i'm walking around the car inspecting all that is it's splendor..... and once i get in it and i start driving off the lot i'm going to play Low Rider by war!

I play the scene in my head over and over and over again....... me walking around the car with that gone in 60 seconds tune playing and everyone on the lot is staring at me like i'm crazy... then i get in the car.. adjust the sit.. open up the sun roof and blast low rider... hang my arm out the window as i'm cruisin down the highway!!!!! damn i can't wait to get this car!!!!!!

Yeah, Dave! Love the idea of you driving with your arm out the window, blasting "Lowrider!" BTW, good luck tomorrow!

Cheers!

DEPECHE MODE
Just Can't Get Enough

When I'm with you baby
I go out of my head
And I just can't get enough
And I just can't get enough
All the things you do to me
And everything you said
I just can't get enough
I just can't get enough

We slip and slide as we fall in love
And I just can't seem to get enough of

We walk together
We're walking down the street
And I just can't get enough
And I just can't get enough
Every time I think of you
I know we have to meet
And I just can't get enough
I just can't get enough

It's getting hotter
It's a burning love
And I just can't seem to get enough of

And when it rains
You're shining down for me
And I just can't get enough
And I just can't get enough
Just like a rainbow
You know you set me free
And I just can't get enough
And I just can't get enough

You're like an angel
And you give me your love
And I just can't seem to get enough of

SCREAMS MINI

I didn't read all the entries, but a lot of them sound very mellow. I think I'll go with a little Static-X. Thrash metal just makes you want to drive.

Cheers

I'm thinking of just opening the roof and windows and listening to the gorgeous sound of the exhaust system!!

However, I've fondly named my LY/B MCS "My Sharona" - so that will ultimately be the music of choice.

You guessed it: Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

My mother bought the album when I was 8 years old and me and my sisters played it over and over and over again. My lil' sister was only 3 at the time and it was just too funny to hear her sing along to Sweet Painted Lady......"gettin' paid for being laid". Now almost 30 years later, I am singing the last track of the album while I wait for my HARMINI.

Anyone heard of Husker Du? I'm thinking New Day Rising for a straight through driving cd...

A mix would have to include Elliott Smith, the Shins, Pete Krebs, the Standard,
No. 2, Heatmiser, Nick Drake, etc...

I guess its too late, I've had her for a month already. For posterity sake, it was Mike Keneally and Beer For Dolphins "Sluggo".

Picked mine up almost 2 weeks ago already, but I listened to the Blue Man Group's AUDIO CD, as well as Hybrid- Wide Angle. Wanted to see what the stereo could do. Not bad for stock.

I've given this almost about as much thought as I did to the color of the MCS that I have ordered, and I'm still not 100% sure. But, I believe that for the inaugural drive, I think it is going to have to be a mix of The Smiths (from Hatfull of Hallow and The Queen is Dead), The Housemartins (from London 0 Hull 4), The Cure (from Boys Don't Cry and/or Mixed Up), The Style Council (from Introducing...), The English Beat (from What is Beat) and some Talk Talk (from Colour of Spring).

That, or I'll just open the top and pop in some Dave Brubeck...
