OEM Nav: Yards, not feet
Somewhere in the a couple of software updates, my NAV slipped into what I've seen called European default mode (or something like that).
Not that big a deal, except I've lost two things: the emergency feature (which offers up your current lat/long), and measurements in feet (it's either meters or yars now, which ain't so cool).
I heard two suggestions online (on NAM, and at X5 world):
1. Disconnect the battery. Didn't work, only reset my clock and stuff.
2. Pull the OBC and instrument cluster fuses. I found a diagram here. I took this to mean some combination of the following:
Anyone know the right answer?

The general opinion has been that only the dealer can set the NAV back to USA mode. However, check out the relatively new NavCoder application on X5 World. It is able to set language options and perhaps region as well. You might ask member daflake (NAM and MINI2), who is also in Germany and has some posts on NavCoder.
