Adding an MP3 Port by the toggle switches??
So I am going to add an input for my mp3 player. I was thinking it might be slick to add the female adapter (I so don't know the right terms here) adapter where I have my toggle switches. has anyone done anything like this? any thing I should be aware of?
Thanks,
Bryan

As long as there's sufficient clearance behind it - the AUX port can be mounted anywhere you like.

No how-to's, but here's what I remember...
1) Take apart the downtubes
2) Remove the toggle panel
3) There's some tabs holding the faceplate to the toggle panel, remove faceplate
4) Now, you need to drill into the blank. I remember I used 2 to 4 drill bits, I started off with the smallest bit I had and used my drill on very slowly speed to make the hole. Once that bit was done, I stepped up to a larger, then I went up to a size that would accommodate the AUX jack. I test fitted until it fit through. Drill slow so the plastic doesn't crack. I think I also removed the shaved plastic bits and cleaned up the edges as I drilled.
The AUX jack's nut will secure it to the panel.
From the pic, you can see that I notched out the top of the plate, so that I had room for the wire to come out.
I also remember that the space between the faceplate and the panel was tight, and I had to bend the AUX cable to fit.
Too bad I could never find a right-angle 3.5mm plug, it would go well with this. I've been using a straight tipped end.
