Question on where people get their Mini's serviced in metrowest Boston area

Hi All,

I've been considering getting a pre-owned Mini for my next car. One of my major concerns though is accesibility to the dealer network. I live in metrowest Boston and am over an hour away from Mini of Peabody and Mini of Boston. It is really out of my way to have to go to either dealership for any service. Can BMW dealerships do regular or warranty service on a Mini? Any other options?

Thanks for any input.

The quality of service at MOP is well worth your drive. Don't forget the folks in VT, NH, and ME that all drive several hours to MOP!

Only MINI dealers can do approved warranty service work. Once you are out of warranty, you can of course find someone local.

Now that MOP service is open on saturdays, that makes things even easier.

Makes sense. Thanks. I'll have to give Peabody a call and see what they have for waiting rooms, wireless access, etc. so that you can wait while the car is serviced.

They have a waiting room upstairs with leather couches and free wireless.
I however hang around the showroom and bug the staff.

And, quite often, if you let people know you're going to be there, someone will show up to take you out to lunch.

I live in the same metro west area, and purchased my new R56 at Herb Chambers. I would not bring my car there for service, just because of the location. I was planning on giving Inskip Mini of Rhode Island a try.
