New Hampshire Mini Meets? Anyone interested?

It's eating rears? Something's wrong there Mike.
Also - if anyone is interested in 4 Crown Spoke (17 x 7) rims that hold air, but are a little out-of-round in spots - let me know. I'd let them go for CHEAP. A little righting might make for a good winter set.
And - I have 2 (Really? Who sells two tires?) Yokohama AVID ENVigor all-season tires (205/45/R17) that still have the nubbies on them. I can get pictures of tread depth as early as this evening.
If no one is interested - I can hear the crickets already - They're going on Craigslist - Priced to sell.

My vote is for the Scorpion! Ive had no problems with mine. It has a nice aggressive tone on the R53 with no drone to it. I have gotten plenty of compliments on the sound. here's a couple of vids

Very bad alignment...Had one of my guys alignment it today. So two new tires on order. You have to see the the snows that came off the rear. Not much tread left on the inside edges.

.....thread=public forum=public personal opinion.....who cares if MOB "monitors this" Mikey. I would rather they hear and know how disappointed I am with them. Jeff Mercier and Van are awesome but the rest can pound sand. (personal opinion)

Mike - That was a joke. Jokes are funny. Laugh. You think that I didn't think that after looking at Austen's newly burned up clutch - two days after it's not in spec to fix under warranty - that they wouldn't ask about foul play? Come on man. Give me a little more credit than that...
Also - I hope that our friends at the MINI dealership in Bedford - and Peabody for that matter - are looking in on us from time to time. That usually means a couple things - They care about what we're saying enough to listen, or they like listening to a bunch of clowns on the internet discuss who's "transmission" is bigger... Either way, I'd love for them to be part of the conversation. A partnership with them would be great for our club and for their business.
I LOVE the parts department at MINIs of Bedford. Nikki and Steven have both been great to me. They remember me, take care of what I need, get me in touch with Nate in Peabody when they don't have the parts that I need, and they haven't tried to up-sell any parts to me. Not once. Ever.
And lastly, Mr. Bailey - There are plenty of great moderators on this forum, and if they think we've gotten out of line by talking about a local shop in a derogatory manner, I'm sure they would have let us know by now. And if MINIs of Bedford would like us to desist, they really only have one option - join the conversation to ask questions about why we're upset. Otherwise, thanks for the warning, and I'm still not worried.

Please let me say that my previous post about the rest of MOB to "pound sand" only comes from sheer frustration with the dealership. Maybe that phrase was not the correct one to use to express my disappointment with them. They are a business and are here to make money, but in some instances, things seem way too fishy.
Example: My clutch noise/chatter
There is a service bulletin out about the throwout bearing causing chatter in first gear, or down shifting from 3rd to 2nd. I have documented complaints at least twice about the noise and about how the clutch does not feel 100%. I was told that the clutch service should be done under preventative maintenance, which I have on the vehicle, as long as it is within "replaceable spec." I was not supposed to drop my vehicle off until last night, knowing that I had a loaner to use all day today while services were rendered. Instead I dropped my vehicle off yesterday morning, picked up the loaner and went to work. Less than 20 minutes after I was informed the clutch would not be taken care of, nor the tsb on the throw out bearing, and I declined the $1850.00 bill, I was told that a lot attendant was going to drive my vehicle from MOB to my work in Portsmouth, to pick up the loaner because there was a "loaner shortage". They planned on my vehicle being there/serviced until tonight, and me using the loaner until I picked my car up after work........
fishy or not?

I'd call them for a quote...the fact the labour rate is about half the dealers rate, and a clutch is so much labor might make the drive worth it!!
Good luck!!

Might be worth checking with Pete and Tom down at Greasy's....just will take an afternoon hanging out while you surf the net on your computer while they work on your car....
