Had a long conversation with the GM of mob, Gary King, today. I must say he is amazing and listened to my concerns. He is also the GM for Peabody and his experience shows! Huge amount of respect goes out to him, and after today, proved my experience is being taken care of like it should be. Word to the wise : voice your issues! How else can the company survive and evolve without knowing it's customer's issues? I will have an answer on Monday, and even if it's not the answer I'm hoping for, he took the time to explain what is actually going on. Thanks again mob! And PS Katherine purchased the '10 328xi coupe from them. That's how happy they made us!
the plasti dip looks nice, were the wheels easy to do?
Yea, the hardest part was prepping them, I cleaned them with wheel acid and them wiped them down with rubbing alcohol. I used trash bags to mask the rotors and brakes. Dipyourcar.com has some great videos on YouTube to help. After eveything was prepped I was done in about 2 hours. Not bad for my first time.
Got my new ITG air filter back at home waiting to be installed tonight and planning on "de-flapping" the cai so it always open. I guess it lets more supercharger music into the cockpit. Has anyone here reset their ecu? notice any difference afterwards?
I hadnt considered doing it after a mod in that sense. I just happened to think about doing in general. Seems like there is mixed reviews if it makes a difference or its just a placebo effect.

You could always meet us down there at the track later on.
Had a pretty good time on Saturday. The drive home being much better than the drive down, but what can you do? It was good to see Austen and Rick, and it was good to meet Shawn!
A picture or two from Shawn of the MINIs and one from Rick's Spy Cam -
And if anyone knows anyone looking to get rid of a used front brake pad carrier for an R56 (salvage / junk yards included), I need a couple slider pins - one for each side, but I'm not willing to shell out $121 per carrier just to get the pins. Currenly, there is no way just to order pins - Thanks, MINI...
Just got the JCW back from MOB. Clutch is NOT within spec for replacement under extended warranty. $1,850.00 for parts and labor........you're kidding right?
Fellow NH JCW owner/lurker. What was the problem with the clutch? Still getting caught up on this thread....
And if anyone has upgraded to a Big Brake Kit, and has some Brake Pad / Caliper Guide pins from their stock R56 they're not using, let a guy know. I have a couple sticking, and I'm not wanting to pay $120 per bracket to get just the pins (I need 2 pins, for two different brackets, and even if I bought one bracket - with the pins - that'd run me approximately $60 per pin...)
They look like this -
Haven't been able to find them for sale anywhere without having to buy the bracket.
Edit - I need the pins with the little rubber chunk under the arrow. I don't need the bellows at the left end of the bolt.

Nick, you might have a better chance finding the parts here by placing a wanted ad.
