I do both, but if it is a car wash then I make sure it's touchless. Always undercarriage pressure wash, and make sure you get the wheel liners. The felt ones hold on to dirt much more. I usually use Sonax Brilliant shine waterless detailer at least 3 times a week.

I was mine by hand but now come winter, guess I will be using touch less carwashes. Trying to get time to detail mine before Sunday but its rough. All the unpacking is done but now trying to find a job. Anyone know of any jobs out there? I have been doing engineering for 20+ years and might want to do something else.

I hand wash mine unless it's winter then I run it through the touch less which I agree never gets it that clean but it's better than nothing...kind of like the wash at MOB yesterday, better than nothing even if the back window is still completely untouched lol

im going to do the door handles on the inside and the pillars in the center console for now, i am going to try and get the plastic piece in the center of (MY NAV) or the speedo area. maybe a few other places, i would liek to get some white leather for the shift boot and the ebrake boot

as for washing my car, simple green works great, i use it on my bikes, havent used it on a car yet tho, but i ussually hand wash, but im going to try to get to a touchless to make sure the underneath is nice and clean, otherwise ill just spray the underside with the hose

At least they washed all but the rear window. The last time mine was in there they only washed half the car.

I recommend Tulley BMW in Manchester for their awesome detailing shop. They offer services MOB doesn't.

Like dent and paint repair, interior repair, and window tinting. And they are more than willing to put you in a BMW loaner car for the day. They kept offering A BMW loaner the two times I've been there. And unlike MOB they have 4, yes 4 service advisors and Saturday hours. And they love MINIs.
