A lot of places will "loan" you a pulley puller tool when you purchase a reduction pulley from them. Alta used to I think, and so did MiniMania, and Way still does. You'd be able to check with them before you buy your pulley and belt.
Also - if you're looking to just out-right rent one - Detroit Tuned has one for rent for $20 for like 2 weeks. LINKY

And lastly for right now - I need to add a Mass Air Flow Sensor to the list of parts my MINI has gotten since I took her home. Kept getting a P2188 System too rich at idle CEL. I did some research, found a new Bosch MAF Sensor on Ebay (from a discount auto parts shop), for about $200. Which is better than half price from MINI...
And the problem that was almost a daily occurrence, hasn't come back for several days in the hot, muggy weather. My MINI feels like it did when I bought it again, and fuel mileage is back up. Wondering now if I need to do any kind of ECU reset / remap back to factory to let it take care of adjustments from there.
Thoughts on the factory ECU adjustments?

I figured as much - just didn't know how much bad "adjusting" or "learning" the ECU would have stored. Is that something that I could fix by disconnecting the battery for a long while?
Like I said - it drives like a champ again, so I'm not too worried, but if there are ponies hidden away somewhere, I'd like to have them back. LOL

So what I ended up doing was talking to a painter, order the OEM front, rear emblems, as well as the Cooper S for the boot and had them painted absolute black to match the R60. Now for the R60, the front emblem was only like $18 and the rear was $27 or something around there and the guy painting them charged me $100 for all of them and that was doing the absolute black and the S in spice orange. It's a lot cheaper and nicer having them painted to match.
Here is the link to the OEM emblems...look into it...it's worth doing it on your own... http://mini.sewellparts.com/accessor...2009/4890.html

Well that explains why I can't find a MINI part number.
I was thinking about having the chrome emblems painted when I have the bonnet scoop and boot lid trim painted Jet Black.
Hey Ryan do you have anymore of those syringes that you gave me? I broke it :(
