Bavauto 2012 Show & Shine Oct 7th
Okay, Here is the deal for Show & Shine. When you all arrive at bavauto. You all need to get in line together and when you are directed onto the lot you have to tell the parking guy that you all are together so they will park you all as a group. Someone should figure out who else is going with their MINIs so all the MINIs can be parked together instead of being parked all around the lot. I know of some coming that are not on NAM or our Facebook page.

I tried pulling a thread search of it on here but it comes back with way too man replies. I want to get it done before the end of this week. Plus the road noise pisses me off as well.

I didn't put a board on the top of mine - it sits flat all the way to the front edge of the seats, but this is basically the same pattern. I also put some cross members under mine to make it a little more robust, but either way, it's still lighter than the seats.
You can also look at sound deadening material like Dynamat, but my ipod is my road-noise eliminator. LOL

I'm planning on being in Portsmouth at or before 7am for the line up before the lot opens.... otherwise you'll be stuck on the street as it fills up quick. The surrounding streets fill up just as fast. Bring walking shoes if your late!
I say meet-up in Epping around 6:15 sharp...

Details...
8:00 am - The parking lot opens. PLEASE NOTE: Only BMWs and MINIs will be allowed on the grounds; spectator parking is available nearby. (If you plan to stay for just a couple of hours, we recommend using the spectator parking, as it can be difficult to exit the grounds once the show begins.) Free coffee and donuts will be available. Also at this time, entry forms for the free raffle are available under the banners in the parking lot, as are tickets for the charity raffle. A limited number of Show & Shine 2012 t-shirts and beer glasses will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Our showroom is also open. You're welcome to come in and browse, ask questions of our staff and make purchases. (PLEASE NOTE: In the interest of keeping the checkout lines short, please take care of any returns or customer service issues during our regular hours of operation, Monday thru Saturday.)
9:00 am - Live demonstrations begin and the vendor tent is open.
10:00 am - Raffle drawings begin and continue throughout the day, with a grand prize drawing held at 2:00 pm. The vendor tent opens. Product installation and do-it-yourself demos begin.
12:00 pm - Lunch is served! We will provide a free BBQ lunch for everybody. The menu usually includes hamburgers, hot dogs, knockwursts, chips, dessert and refreshments.
1:00 pm - More do-it-yourself demos, raffle drawings and, of course, hundreds of BMWs and MINIs to check out.
2:00 pm - Grand prize drawing, valued at more than $3,500.

Hands got a tad bit shaky after a few beers. . With the plywood Nick bought it was a good idea to run some support pieces for sturdiness. We also contoured the sides on his to match the shape of the interior rather than the straight sides I did on mine. I used some dynamat under my rsd but i don' know if it made much of a difference. You guys are too generous with the liquid payments. I would help out at no cost at all.
