MINI of Sterling had similar issues with USAA. First, they didn't fully understand the USAA-funded $1,000 rebate for '14 Roadsters. I had to take them to the website, then they followed up with MINI bulletins before they made the adjustment. The finance guy also erred when trying to process my USAA financing (1.75% on the '14 Roadster). They were so bad handling the USAA stuff that my USAA rep actually took a report and sent it up the chain of command in San Antonio. Everything else went fairly smooth. I'm about to work them for the heat shield insulator under the bonnet - some models come with them stand and others come without. My bonnet gets too hot IMO without the shield.

 

Was years ago....but paid for my car with a USAA funded loan...I supplied it and the hearty down payment....no issues....
They might have done you a favor...by not delivering the car in MA, the state of ma rmv could not collect sales tax...they do when a temp plate is issued (side note I avoided the issue by BRINGING a metal plate ((mass does not recognize NH paper temp plates due to the fact you can get a 30 day temp without proof of ownership, and avoid paying mass sales tax))...not to folks that do this trick...mass does a 24 month look back when registering a car in ma.....so if you move to mass within 24 months...they will charge you the tax and a fine (from what I was told).
