Sharo,

Thanks for doing the leg-work and coordinating with the shops. Please let us know if you need some help.

Was the price/hour of the dyno discussed with this shop?

OK Rose :) I fixed it.

OK so the latest update is the shop that I have contacted has to let us know when and if they can host this event. So waiting for their response.

Here is the link for this particular shop:

http://www.goodies-speedshop.com/2007/index.html

Hopefully this will work with them but if not we have to find another one. I know there are few shops mentioned earlier and I will try contacting them one at a time If this doesn't work with the above linked shop.

Thanks for asking and no price has been determined and or mentioned/quoted as of yet.

The shop's owner is suppose to contact me with possible dates and hourly dyno charge.

I have talked to Jan, his tunning price is $350.00 per car then there is the price of the 1 hour per car/member we have to pay the shop for the dyno use, whatever that price is, is yet to be determined by the shop owner.

rkw 02-05-2008 12:36 AM

The rates at Goodies Speed Shop: http://www.goodies-speedshop.com/200..._Services.html. What would apply to an RMW tune?

Dyno Prices
Basic Dyno Test including Horsepower and Torque printouts (up to 3 pulls) $130
Dyno Tuning for Carburetor and Ignition $150/hour + $80 Load/Unload fee for over 1 hour of total time
Dyno Tuning/Programming EFI$175/hour + $80 Load/Unload fee for over 1 hour of total time
Add $40 per session/day for Wide band 02 usage/readings
Add $45 install fee weld-in 02 bung for wide band sensor

I think those would be for per one car basis pricing. However, I'm thinking/hoping that the pricing could be different/lower when there are multiple cars in a package deal.

Hi, I'm just wondering if you guy's actually have a set date that Jan is comming up there? We are kinda in limbo down here in Fresno. Just wondering, thanks.

jimz68 02-05-2008 07:46 AM

You can pull me from the list. I'm going to wait on the tune. Need the $$$ for camera gear.

Jim

Please read through the recent posts in this thread. As I have stated few times already in earlier posts above, no dates confirmed yet. The shop and Jan need to get the timing down. :)

I feel like koo koo clock.

Yea, i'm sorry. Oh I understand about the timing, we are in the same boat .

latte hiatus 02-11-2008 12:23 AM

Would it be too optimistic for me to presume that Jupiter has aligned with Mars and this will be happening in the latter part of this week? I'm just itching to see what Jan can do with our cars!

SharoSC02 02-11-2008 10:38 AM

OK some updates,

The shop is ready to go as long as we can get them one week notice. Therefore Jan needs to let us all know when he can come up here in the next 2-3 weeks perhaps and we are good to go.

The cost and deposits issue I will leave to Jan in how he wants to have this taken care of.

Also, I know this has taken more time to develop than expected but by the way Jan is being asked to travel all over country, just like as a ROCK STAR, to bless everyone with his tune we have to be patient and grateful that this will hopefully come to fruitation soon.

latte hiatus 02-11-2008 10:42 AM

Thanks, Sharo!

Since you're the de facto contact person with Jan for this group, would you mind coordinating with his schedule for our tune? Jan doesn't need all of us impatient types bombarding him with individual messages. Got a new serpentine belt, new engine oil, new spark plugs, and a slightly used W2A IC, and I am rearing for the tune and rooting for next week if possible!

de facto,,, aha,,,,that's right, that's me, but don't wear it out now,,,,

OK kidding aside, I'm not sure about being the de facto thingi, but I'm on top of everything right now. Just need Jan to tell us when and we're good to go.

SharoSC02 02-14-2008 02:40 PM

OK just hung up the phone with Jan. He is very very busy as usual. Planning on going to Hawaii tomorrow and will be back on Monday the 18th. He said he is also working on some racing stuff and after that he would like to take few days off.

We will revisit the timing issue next week when he comes back to set the date. I'm only going to guess and say that it looks as if it "could", don't hold me on this" be the end of this month and perhaps even the 1st week of March.

So, cross your fingers everyone and thank you for being patient.

Sharo

yumhaggis 02-14-2008 03:39 PM

It seems I've heard something like this before, but there were flying monkeys in the story & it went something like this "No one gets into see the wizard, not no how,not no way.  hope it happens before AMVIV.

TWON 02-14-2008 03:52 PM

Can you please add me to the list :)

Do we have a general location... or, narrowed down to a couple locations? Just wondering what kind of drive to prepare for,

It is going to be at this shop. Since they feel comfortable accommodating larger crowds/racers of all sorts including drag cars racers and have all the tools and means to get this going.

De facto on, sir.

...Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure what that means... :sly: Thanks for coordinating with Jan's schedule!

tazio 02-15-2008 07:48 PM

Weekend of 2/29-30 could work for me.

Mini'mon 02-21-2008 11:37 PM

. . . one more for the list??

Hi,

latte hiatus just told me about this upcoming SF Bay Area tuning opportunity. Cool!
If there are still slots left, please add me to the list!

Thanks!

Mini'mon 02-21-2008 11:41 PM

Location??

- San Jose is closest to me, so getting in on one of the sessions at Goodies would be best for me.

SharoSC02 02-23-2008 01:42 PM

Once I get a final commitment from Jan I will redo the list. I like to know if everyone on the list will be ready once we get Jan to confirm the date with us.

I'm in the body shop right now,as some low life saw fit to key my car , but I can be ready if need be as I'd hate to miss this opportunity.

TWON 02-23-2008 09:56 PM

I am available both the 6th and 7th, so you can work me around others needs,

sandini 02-24-2008 07:17 AM

Either the Sixth or Seventh is good for me

TWON 02-24-2008 07:44 AM

Hey sandini, I live about 5 minutes from you. If we end up going about the same time, we can meet up and caravan down together.

latte hiatus 02-24-2008 08:01 AM

Thanks for setting the dates, Jan!

Either the 6th or 7th works great for me. Let's do it!

That sounds good to me. I will call the shop to give them heads up since they need a week in advance notice. I will also PM everyone on the list and would expect to get a response in time to make sure how many people can still make those dates.

This started out as a January tune session, and February was fine too.
Unfortunately I'll be traveling March 4 thru 19, and won't be able to make a tune session on March 6-7.

I am so very sorry dude.

Jan has been super super busy and it's been very hard to get him to come up here. We would have loved to have you make the event however. And again, I do apologize for having this take longer than expected. Jan is a super star now and is wanted everywhere.

Jan, can we clone you by any chance??

Thanks everyone for being patient enough to do this. I can't thank everyone enough for hanging in there. We still need to get more confirmations from everyone. I have sent everyone a PM accept for couple of people and you know who you are.

Sharo

jrlombard 02-24-2008 03:08 PM

No can do for this guy. Just got confirmation that I have jury duty on Thurs (6th), which may spill over in to Friday.

I certainly understand Jan's limitations, but I was hoping that we could have gotten this done sooner....

checkers 02-24-2008 03:44 PM

I'm in Checkers is up and running. Just let me know what day 6th or 7th. All I have to do is get the new RMW cam installed and put 500 miles on the new motor.
