Roseville 4th of July Parade...

http://www.roseville.ca.us/parks/4th...elebration.asp

The Roseville Chamber of Commerce and the City of Roseville will hold their annual 4th of July parade this coming week. I don't think I need to tell you the date!
If you are available, please join your fellow MINI drivers to be a part of this great event.
At least two different Mini clubs are signed up to participate, so all you have to do is show up at the parade start location.
Meet up at 8 AM @ The UP lot, 6th and Vernon Streets. Bring stuff to decorate you Mini!
The parade starts at 10 AM SHARP!
After the parade, there will be food and music, etc. at Royer Park.
Weather folks predict 100 degrees plus, so dress cool and bring your sun block!
All activities are kid-friendly! Bring the munchkins!
If you would like hotel info, email me...

rsaunders68@comcast.net

Our goal is to out number and out class the PT Cruiser club.

Tad and I would only have to drive a couple hundred feet to make the Rocklin Jubilee.

I love your pink MINI. Now that I have my Cabrio, I want her pink. Thats not going over very well though. I think guys look hot in pink.

For the 4th of July parade, GCM is going to meet at the corner of Vernon and Cirby. There is a large brick church on the corner. We thought it would look better for to the other cars (PT's, Corvettes, etc) if we made a grand entrance for MINI's first year in the parade. GCM is meeting at 8 am. Check-in is 830. Everyone is welcome.

We should have a lot of MINIs present in the parade. I do not know whether both clubs will be together or in two different groups (since REME and GCM registered separately), but perhaps we will be placed together. None the less, it should be quite a show.

What a fun time we had!!! REME had 12-13 cars, Athena following the group pulling her tear drop trailer.
We drove the route in a serpantine pattern, riding the clutch the majority of the route. We were lucky to pick up a new potential member as well as meet some newer SV-REME members. A big thank you to Rob for organizing this event and another thank you to all who attended.

Also, a BIG thank you to Dave and the gang at Niello Mini for sponsoring the REME entry and also participating with us!

It's great to have the support of our local MINI dealer!

I'm looking forward to more participation from the Niello crew at future REME events! They have been really good to us!

It's your car. Paint it Pink. I'm thinking that I will eventually paint Fiona a bright Lime Green. If the man don't like it tell him he can always take a second car. heh

We did pretty good as far as awards, although we did not beat the PT Cruiser club as hoped (maybe because they put us in different categories).

From Roseville Press Tribune -

Fourth of July parade winners

Vehicle Division -

Organizational 1st Place - Downtown Tuesday Night
2nd Place - Redwood Empire MINI Enthusiasts

Custom - Open - 1st Place Gold Country PT Cruisers Club

Way to go everyone!
