Pic of new 2012 Corvette?
Just as the first Transformer movie gave the general public a hint of the new Camaro, does this new Corvette concept in the Transformer sequel hint of things to come?

I read earlier on one of the Corvette forums that it was a mock-up to thoerize what a high-performance car (yes, possible future Corvette) could look like if based on the Volt platform. Although it almost looks more Cadillac-y than Corvette-y with those hard angles.
Regardless of what it's based on, I like it too. IBut in the real-world they will have to raise the roofline a bit to give more driver visability and headroom. It's always this way with concept cars - the show car has a chop-top look because us gear-heads associate that with the custom performance cars that hot-rodders made, but when it comes to real production and meeting peoples' real-world driving needs the roofs always have to be raised a bit, changing the lines and look.

It has a lot of overlap with the front-end look of the 2002 Cadillac concept "Cien". The Cien would have been a mid-engined supercar, and the idea died - but you can definately see some heritage there - especially in the headlights.

Well, the "Camaro" in the original Transformers was nothing more than a reskinned Pontiac GTO. Showing the new Camaro was just setting the trap for potential buyers. And since 2012 is wayyyy down the road, I think showing a concept Corvette is just GM's way of advertising and getting feedback. It's a good way to do it too. By the way, if you're a Transformer fan, get ready for a crap fest.

I'm undecided on the new 'Stang, but the Challenger is sweeeeeeet! I wish they had done something more along those lines with the Charger. The Pontiac GTO is still poop. GM definitely needs to get on the ball.

Yeah, the GTO is not a good looking car at all. My first reaction when I saw it was "Hey, is that the new Grand Prix?" Now, they've steeped their game up a notch and brought out a solid performer with the G8 GXP. Unfortunately it suffers from Pontiacs bland exterior styling. However, again, it's a step up in the right direction for Pontiac.

Yes, you are right. The G5, G6, and G8 all look the same and are not attractive at all. What's sad is they went outside of the box with the Solstice, and wow, what a car. It's like they're blind or something.

I actually test drove a Solstice a few months ago when I was "shopping" (because let's face it, I knew I was getting another MINI) for a new car. I really wasn't that impressed. At least not for the price tag. It was slow (compared to my MCS), it wasn't very comfortable to drive, the handling could have been better, and the interior just looked cheap. I wouldn't mind having one for a summer day, but not for $30k.

I did look at the interior and, like you was not impressed. It would be a fun little car to own for the Summer, however, I must agree with you, $30k for a roadster is way too much $$$$.
