Somehow, I have this sneaking suspicion it might be a dealer. Like maybe Rasmussen Mini.

Looking for 1974-75 Honda Civic 1200
As of last weekend I need to add to the list a '07 Toyota FJ Cruiser. It's four wheel drive, silver, fully loaded with TRD wheels. I took it up to my dads ranch on Sunday and did some four wheelin'. It climbs like a mountain goat but drives super smooth on the streets. It's almost as fun to drive as my Mini!

I posted to this long ago and, from time to time, remember cars I forgot.

It is great to see everyone's list.

I forgot the chartruse 10 speed I bought when 14.

I forgot my 1983 diesel toyota pickup (probably because it smells like French Fries)

I forgot my Suzuki T500 because it was all I could do to hold onto the handlebars and not slip away when I twisted the throttle (which immediately broke through the hardened gears in the transmission)

I forgot the T500 which broke down in the desert so that my first date and I were standed . . . after 3 hours of wrapping yours legs around me, what now?

And did I mention both VW Squarebacks, and both fires?

'87 Chev S10 Blazer (was still running @202K when sold)
'00 Pontiac Bonneville (piece of garbage, sold@75K)
'51 Olds Rocket 88 (current, needs resto)
'49 ***** Pickup (current)
'39 Pontiac Sedan (X2 need resto) (sold to make room for the MINI... sad...)
'93 Chev Suburban (current-216K miles I drive them in to the ground!)

'79 Honda CB750F Interceptor
'87 Ducati Paso
'95 Triumph Daytona
'97 Triumph Speed III/Daytona hybrid

My brother had an early '70s Vega panel wagon.

I put a small block chevy in it, a friend put a roll cage in. We left the outside stock. The panel wagon has the back windows filled in. So you couldn't tell by looking that it was anything special. We even left stock looking rims on (wider in the back, though).

Boy that was the most fun in a Vega (barf) I've ever had! The car was a hoot then!

Hadn't thought of that car in years-thanks LynnEl!

(OMG a funeral limo! I'd always thought an old 50's or 60's limo, flat black paint, blacked out windows would be so fun)

dwjj, i always thought a Vega with a V8 would be something, if it held together. I was actually looking for a 40's - 50's limo/hearse, but the ones in dependable condition were too expensive. Glad to have suffered through the Vega ownership to bring you the memory.

It all started with the French Answer to the Mini;

80 Renault LeCar I think it was originally a gold color(?) It went LeBoom on the way to sell it to a salvage yard(I think it knew!)

84 Ford Escort wagon(red)-Mom's old ride that was a stop gap car for a brief time

81 Datsun 280ZX(silver)-even had a cheezy name "the silver bullet" I was 18 and I miss both the car and my youth.

89 Honda Accord LXi coupe (black) Nice car that I should have held onto longer.

92 Ford Explorer (silver) boring SUV

95 Honda Accord Coupe(champagne)
95 Honda Civic sedan(white)- traded the Explorer on these-leased them both-stupid!
got married the year before and moved the FLA-gas prices were .35 more than back home and the jobs payed squat. Both were boring but the civic could be wound up pretty well with the 5 speed.

98 Ford Explorer(medium red) Wifes car-new parents so we needed the room.

93 Volvo 240 wagon(white) I actually loved this car and put 250K on it(got it with 55K) underpowered but it had character!

00 Nissan Frontier crew cab 4x4-(green) great little truck-never could get it stuck-and I tried a lot!

03 Honda Odyssey(met. beige)wifes ride-with leather DVD et al. I really don't like this thing and it lease is up this year!!!

00 Volvo V70 (moondust-sortof a silver that changed to gold in the right light) went back to Volvo after the truck-another great car with amazing seats

03 Chevy Silverado 2500HD ext cab(white) OK so I thought I wanted a full size truck, terrible gas mileage, stiff ride(in a bad way) but it was big and bad and could tow a house. Hurricane Katrina hit-gas went up and it went out.

03 Volvo S60 2.4T(black)-this was a great car, it has loaded and had a sports suspension-great seats, good power, great handling. Got totalled by an idiot on a cell phone! I miss this one

00 Mercedes Benz E320 wagon (desert silver) This I got a very good deal on and will replace the van to become my wifes car. The best ride I have ever experianced-not sporty but very solid. I can see actually hanging on to this one for a while.

?????? 05/06 MCS- I don't know yet but I have admired the Mini since it came out in 02 and I want something fun for me. The Van's lease is up soon so I came here to learn about the Mini- if it doesn't work out I'll probably get another Volvo-maybe an S40 T5 this time but I really want the Mini to work out!

Yeah, Fiat was the one bright light in the dark halls of Vega ownership. That and the exploding Pinto.
