Don't be shy... list all the cars you've owned!
#101
Wow! Some of these lists are soooo long, I wonder if any of the cars actually ended up being owned by different members of the forum...? Kind 'a scary, isn't it?
Anyway, in order of ownership, starting in 1967:
1960 Triumph TR-10 sedan (didn't know they made such a thing, didja?)
1959 AH Sprite - dang, shoulda kept that one...
1958 VW Baja Bug
1965 VW Bus (peace, love, and all that)
1957 Ford P/U w/ 384 Olds + B&M hydro (my original hot rod days)
1957 Chevy Bel-Air w/ Blown 427 (drag car) - shoulda kept that one too ...
1974 Yamaha RD-350
1975 Kawasaki Z-1
1957 VW (died when the entire floor board fell out on the freeway)
197? Mazda RX-3 station wagon
1980 VW Rabbit GTI
1990 Toyota P/U
1990 Izusu Trooper (wife's POS - it didn't last long)
1995 Dodge Ram P/U (still have it - 250K miles and going strong)
1955 Studebaker (Bonneville race car - 400 cid blown fuel Hemi)
1992 Honda RC-2 750 (Bonneville race bike) - still have it, but it's retired
2003 MCS - this one I'm gonna keep....

Let us go back to your childhood....
Starting in 1971, my string of cars commenced with:
1959 Nash Metropolitan (canabalized to support next car)
1959 Nash Metropolitan - had a MGA 1500 engine with dual SU carbs. (sold)
1958 Thames 1500cwt Freighter Van (sold)
1966 Ford Ranchero (sold)
1971 Toyota HiLux Pick-Up (Totalled in a wreck with 190,000 miles on it, bought back from insurance and parted out. I still have buckets of nuts and bolts from it.)
1975 Toyota Corolla SR-5 Coupe (Totalled in a wreck - in such good shape that the adjuster misinterpreted the 140,000 miles as 40,000 miles and paid out more than I bought the car for.)
1959 Volkswagen Type II Transporter, Shortened to a 4 Ft. wheelbase (traded for next car)
1937 BSA Mk. IV Scout Roadster (not a bike, 10-hp, 4-cylinder, flathead, front wheel drive, wet clutch, 3-speed, 2-seat sports car)(I sold this as "barn fresh" at a Christie's auction in Beverly Hills.)
1981 Volkswagen Westfalia Camper (ex-wife kept in divorce)
1983 Nissan King Cab P/U (I got in divorce, still have as a matter of principal, now has 248,000 miles on it - take that!)
2000 Honda S-2000 (still own, 40,000 miles) My 2nd wife's mid-life crisis on wheels.
2003 Mini Cooper S / JCW (13,000 miles) - My mid-life crisis on wheels.
Of the above, the 1959 VW remains my favorite. Able to turn around in about an 8 ft radius, pop wheelies when starting (and stopping), and easy to park. It is now rumored to be somewhere in New Mexico. If anyone sees it, give it my love.
K. F. Duke
PS. I should add that I got my taste for strange cars from my dad. At various times in my youth we owned a Messerschmidt, a BMW K700 (rear engined, 2-cylinder bike engine 2+2 seater), an Edsel Citation, a '51 Buick Roadmaster, a Willis Overland Wagon, and a string of more conventional Valiants, Darts, Hornets, Bel Airs, Belvederes, Accords, a Javelin, et. al. Of those, the most memorable was the Messershmidt, a post WWII enclosed scooter with a 200cc Fitchel & Sachs 2-stroke engine. 2-strokes run with equal efficiency clockwise or counter clockwise so to go to reverse you shut off the engine, changed the ground polarity on the starter motor, and started the engine in running in the opposite direction so that you had 4-speeds in reverse. I was too young to drive at the time but recall the ride had the comfort of a plank of wood on a washboard.

My list is short...
92 Saturn SL2
99 Saturn SL2
03 Honda Element
99 S10 pickup (work, used to be a PDR guy)
05 MCS!
I used to auto-x the 99 Satty. Actually was a pretty good car for it. Light and I had done a few mods to quicken it up a bit and make it handle betterl I remember a guy that drove a stock one and he was amazing. Easliy was killing Vettes, old Porsches, Mustangs, etc... Fun to watch them get pissed!
Obviously the MCS is the most fun car ever.
