Who else rides on two wheels?
I love to drive. I love to ride. I just got my motorcycle license this summer in NYS.
So here is my other baby besides my Mini.
An 81 Suzuki GS550t. Its a great starter bike and has less than 10k miles.

I hope to someday get a Yamaha Vmax or a Ducati Diavel

*EDIT* I had a third bike a Kawasaki KLR 650, but due to a broken tail bone I was unable to ride it ... so I sold it to my brother. (Tail bone is all healed now).

I ride dirt on two wheels. In order I have had 2001 Honda XR100, 2002 Yamaha TTR225, 2002 Yamaha TTR250, 2002 Yamaha YZ250, 2009 Honda CRF450R, 2008 Honda CRF150R (backyard play bike), and my current bike a 2011 YZ250. Here's some pics:

One of my favorite things. I started when I was 10 years old with a home made motor scooter my dad made for me. That was back in 1944. Next came a Famous James and many, many more after that. My last ride was four years ago. We have a great drive here in N.E. Tucson called Catalina Highway. It goes up to the top of Mt. Lemmon, is 27 miles long and nothing but beautifully paved twisties all the way to the top. It's also a favorite for people who are serious bicycle riders. I met one of them up close when, not seeing me he made a U turn behind the car that I was following. I made a joke that some day I'd get a sign to 'hang it up'. That was my sign.

Nice! I've never seen that Ducati before either. So I assume you prefer crotch rockets? Idk if I'd like that riding position at least on long rides.

So you race yours? Do they handle similarly to road bikes? And is 250 a starter bike?

They are similar enough to street bikes that with experience you could hop on one. Having much less traction takes same getting used to. That and you don't really want to lean over too much without a berm or a rut or you'll wash out.
A 250 four stroke would be great, especially if you have street experience. It's full-size, and just fast enough to keep you happy. Then if you wanted more power you could go to a 250 two stroke or a 450 four stroke...

I don't race officially or anything, just like the full graphic kits. I have a mini bike track behind my parents house for the 150's, we have little races there. Other than that it's dunes, desert, and trails for the big bikes. Maybe a practice day at the local track too.

Most of this summer consisted of my license and getting the bike road worthy. It hadn't been driven in 3 years till this past summer. So I'm eager now that it has a new battery, plugs, front tire, carbs cleaned, fork seals and a speedometer cable. Can't wait to have a full summer of riding

I have a 2012 FZ6R in the "Raven" color scheme. Great Learner bike and daily commuter. I bought in new in 2012 and have had lots of fun with it.
My dream bikes are a Triumph Trophy SE for touring, and a Triumph Street Triple R for corner carving.

Glad to hear you got your license, hope you've been having a blast this fall! Did you keep riding into the winter? The first few years I rode a bike, I just refused to stop just because it was cold. Too much fun! A dozen years on I'm not so macho… I like my MINI's heated seats
For the past decade I've ridden a Ducati ST4s ... here's a non-heroic track day photo.

here's the only pic I have of my two wheels: orange/black HD Nightster. Unfortunately with having a new baby, I don't have time to ride. Now I have to find a buyer and sell it.

I ride. I have a 2009 HD Electra Glide. The poster from Tuscon mentioned getting a sign to hang it up. My sign was Aug. of last year my cousin wrecked his bike and died and a couple weeks after that my uncle ( not the father of my dead cousin) wrecked his bike.
Ive ridden it 4 times since. In fact, I just registered it for the year on fri. registration was due last Dec.
Its for sale.
PM me if your interested in a nice low mileage Electra Glide.

Not two wheels but three.
I have a Dnepr MT16, hence my handle. It is a Soviet military motorcycle, with two wheel drive, the sidecar wheel is driven.
I've had it on a few long trips, but I mostly drive it locally. It's top speed is 60 mph, so I stay on back roads.
My dog loves it.

Last cycle was a 92 Electra Glide Sport, way too heavy for me. Slipped on unseen grease puddle from a restaurant recycling truck that collects all that frying grease. No injuries just pride, then several weeks later went down on metal grates that were slick (5mph) and that caused knee issues and a bashed up helmet. Out of all the bikes I had, H D was the one seeking gravity the most. Haven't ridden since, don't really miss the two wheels.
Best cycle was a Yamaha SRX 600, fast, nimble and a great city ride. Only problem was ripping pants leg on kick starter all the time.
