Infiniti G35!
Forgive me MINI, for I have sinned....
After obsessing over MINI's for 3+ years, subscribing to MINI clubs (and paying membership fees), purchasing countless MINI collectibles, and talking about MINI's non-stop.....
I bought an '04 Infiniti G35 Coupe last weekend.
Byebye NAM, see you MINI's on the road.... I mean, in my rearview mirror.

I had been debating between the Nissan 350Z (same as the G35 for the most part, mechanically speaking anyway right?), and the MCS.
I've already got an MCS on order, so very unlikely to switch, but I really do prefer RWD vehicles.
Speaking of, how do the 350Z & Mini compare? Other than one is FWD, the other is RWD. Which handles better? Which is a better overall performance car? Which is easier/cheaper to make fast/mod?

Better overall performance - up to debate, but you're on NAM, so... MINI!
Easier/cheaper to make faster - MINI S, its supercharged, you can get mods for it easy. However, the 350Z is faster in a straight line, faster than most modded MINI S to begin with.
But of course, you're on a MINI forum, so yeah, every car in the world sucks other than the MINI

nice choice in car, but bad choice in words. :impatient only I can say such
words as I back my G35C into my garage with my MCS in the
rearview mirror.

We actually toyed with the idea of replacing our burned Scooter with a G35 - until we drove it....needless to say - we bought our 3rd MINI. Yes - we liked it - it drove nice - but it just didn't have the "fun factor" that the MINI has.
But hey - if you like it - that's great! Enjoy...

MY sister was goignt buy one, we went and test-drove, liked the car (it takes a lot for me to like a Japanese car), but then she decided against it, bought a 2006 SL500. As you see, I am the poorest in the family, but my MCS turns heads all the time. Anyways, would I replace my Mini with a G35C? Probably not, it is not my cup of tea.

Hey, easy on Berky.... Really, liked the car, the looks are killer, don't care for the material quality inside though, overall, a good package, with all options coming to $40,000.00+, which is a 3.30ci territory. Can not justify the value. On the other side, I am really excited on the GT-R version(am I right?), looks like the the Skyliner spirit is coming back (well, that is a car... The best car Japanese came up with).

now if we can do this... MCS + G35C = one mean machine....
but can't. so, i just keep them both. im hoping to add
a SubaruLegacyWagon (non-turbo) in our line up maybe
this week. this will be our family beater.
