So i am bored at work and i was thinking to myself, what i would consider to be the best top 10 new cars that are priced under $55k. I just thought it would be interesting to see what peoples opinions were. (forgive me if this topic has already been posted)
So if you would like, list the 10 new cars that you would love to own, that are priced $55k or under. You could also list them in the order you would like to own the most, #1 being your top choice.
My top 10 are.....errrr....i will post mine as soon as im done thinking.
1) 2007 MCS
2) 2006 MC CR/B
3) Mitsubishi Lancer EVO MR
4) Nissan 350Z
5) VW Golf GTI 5 dr DSG
6) Lotus Elise (not sure if i can get one for that, can i?)
7) Audi S4 Avant
8) Nissan 240SX Track car
9) Classic Mini project car
10) my current 2003 MCS DS/W
Ok, here's my list. It's generally in order of preference...
1. Volvo C30
2. Volvo S60R or V70R (I can't decide )
3. MINI Cooper S JCW GP
4. Ford Shelby GT500 (if I could get it for MSRP )
5. BMW M3 (E46)
6. Porsche Cayman
7. Audi S4
8. Lotus Elise
9. Audi TT (2006, not a big fan of the 07's styling)
10. Volvo S80 V8
It's a tough list to make, but I think it's harder when you raise the price limit to include some of the exotics. I wouldn't mind trading a few of the cars on my list for a Ferrari F430.

Thats the fun of it, if i save long enough i could afford a 55K or under car. However a ferrari's price...i might could get one on the day i die.
...or win the lottery.
55K and under is alot more realistic to me, and thats why i was wondering what other people thought about the cars in that range.
Yea, I like making more realistic lists as well. However, it would also be interesting to make a list of your top 10 cars that could be bought for under $55k (including used or classic cars). It would kind of be a top 10 affordable cars of all-time list.
im pretty much set on the next gen G35C (2nd year release) but if that car
doesn't turnout the way im hoping for, i would probably look at the
GT-R, 350Z, or S4.

Since the Exige S is like $70K...
I think im gonna look at the BMW M Coupe for my next ride. 330+hp 2 seater hardtop. Yeah...thats hawt...reow!
I figure if i can stick $10k a year in the bank for the M Coupe, I will have enough for it by the time the MINI is payed for.
Edit: by then there will probably be something else out i will want...haha
^^ yah, i was also considering the MCoupe too, but i think im going
to try something non-BMW next time. nothing against Bimmers, i want
to try other Euro's if im not set on my next Nissan.
I really would like to get a 1994-1995 Dodge Viper RT-10 (around $35k) as just a fun switch up from the MINI on weekends in the summer. However, there is no way I would ever get to use even half of that power around here.
^^ yah, unless you have a track you can take to, it's more fun to drive
a slow car fast than a fast car slow.
Exactly. I get frustrated enough around here in my MINI. Seems like every time I'm on a good back road ready for some spirited driving, I am behind about two pick up trucks going 30 in a 45 zone with a double yellow line.
