Engine Swap Help
Hello all,
I recently full engine swapped an r56 n14 engine. When it starts up, it runs fine for a couple of seconds and then starts to misfire across cylinders 1, 2, 3, and 4. I pulled the coils and replaced them with the ones I took out of the engine that I tore apart and nothing changed.
I am wondering if I need to take the car to a mini dealership and mate the new(er) engine to the computer? Could it be that the computer isn't giving the newer engine enough fuel due to them not being mated? Or if not, what else could it be? I don't think it would be spark plugs due to the misfires being on all cylinders. I have another high pressure fuel pump from the engine that I took apart, if it's not the engine not being mated (if that's a thing), then would it be a new high pressure fuel pump.
