Ah, atlast the day has come to get some new tires and I decided to go ahead and get new rims to go with it. I stayed with the 17s and put on a low profile NEXEN LEXANI tire on them. Really awsome, sticks like its a train on tracks.. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? HONEST?
Really like the spokes! Really like the bright color! Really like the car! Good job! I'm not looking forward to buying new tyres, but I am looking forward to non-run-flats! Nice choice!
I am thinking about those OZ's as well when the time comes for tires. Are those the Ultraleggera or the Superleggera? I like how you can get them to match the MINI lug pattern-very clean.
I like the "reverse tapered" spoke design, for both looks and efficiency (i.e., weight savings). The SSR "GT7" I have are similar, but with 7 instead of 8 spokes which appear "sculpted" into the rim rather than bolted onto it. I think both approaches can look good. Your selection gets an "A" from me.
And because of your pics I will definitely include "Sokudo" brand next time I am shopping for rims. They were previously unknown to me.
Googling "Sokudo" I found it is a line of wheels sold by "ADR Design", as opposed to being its "own" brand. Just FYI. They have quite a range of finishes and styles, and most are really good-looking.
No, I don't work for them or anyone affiliated with them.
Its not on upside down..... The rims arent spinners, they dont stay in the same spot the whole time. If you want i can scoot forward inches and it will be right side up............. haha

those are the superleggeras. i think they discontinued them though.
I like your set up, of course with electric blue and white it's hard to go wrong

I was wondering the same thing. Of course I went down to a 15" rim, so I'm a little extra skeptical about that little amount of side wall on an 18" and not having a harsh ride.
Looks sharp but I really wish "they'd" make the rims with four lugs for those of us with the four lungs on our MINI. Hmmm, that would be everyone with a MINI, right? I guess it's cost effective for the manufacturer to make the "one wheel fits many" rather than car specific wheels... I'll stop rambling.
Nice wheels.
