Hi all, well after getting my new MCS I drove it for about 3 days before the long trip. I put about 300 miles and keep the RPM's under 4500. These are the accounts of things I noticed during this long trip from Atlanta, GA to Little Rock, AR. Wow...

We begin the trip at about 10am, left onto 285 and hit I 20 to B'ham, AL. Let me say that Roads in Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas Suck! My suspension took a beating on these roads. Ok I am done Venting.

It was difficult to keep the car under 4500 RPM's, I really wanted to open my mini up and really hear the SC scream but I controlled my self, several Honda's and Eclipse's tried to get me to race but I told them, its still being broke in and I would catch them on the way back.. Which I did, I will tell that story later.

Bug's, I hate Bugs, more bugs hit my car and I found a little ding on the top right , not sure what happend but I am glad I got that paint pin to fix little things like this, but O the buggs... , Ok I had to stop several times to clean my MCS, a dirty, buggy car just looks crappy and because we ran into alot of rain on the way, I picked up much dirt.

The car preformed great, no starting issues, no lagging ( but I was being easy and taken it slow ). I did push it a bit as I approached Memphis via rout 78 from B'ham, then from Memphis to Little Rock. On the way back it was better, little or no rain. BTW these babbies work great in the rain, its like its not raining

just out side of B'ham the break in was done and I started pushing, and OMG the sound of the SC is sweet

I ran into a honda, with a big spolier on the back and nice BBS wheels, we played until I kicked into serious mode and hittng some of the back roads in AL I all but left it behind, then a second Eclipse, this guy had an attitude, so I wanted to see what he could do, it was late and at first he was leading, but at about 120 he must have just slowed down as I passed, hit the exit ramp pretty fast but the mini was true to form, slid into a BK for a late snack and before going in i saw the eclipse, limping off in shame

Side note, more people look at mini's than any other car, I had more people looking which was really neat, I passed 3 mini's, with the thumbs up we motored on I was in Memphis and next to a nice looking 7 series and a brand new vet behind me, both of them were looking at me and so was everyone else at the light. several Red-necks in AL took long looks, their girl friends had to be drug into stores , honest I saw two girls just staring while I was in the parking lot and the boy friends had to grab them by the hand and drag them into the Blockbusters.

Had to clean the mini again, 8 times in 3 days, am I on drugs or what

anyway wanted to share some things, the only concern is the air vents they tend to only turn certian ways does anyone else seem concerend with this, I got used to only being able to adjust the air certian directions but its just an idea

not sure if i am taking a long trip any time soon, i have got to go and put a good coat of wax on as if you did not know thats what I would be doning, thanks for anyone who reads this , feel free to comment.

Later, from me and DMonk "The Ball Matters"

Great stuff! That's hilarious!

I'm hopefully picking mine up in early July and driving back to PHX from KC. Should be a fun time! I hope I get a lot of comments!
