I'm wondering if anyone knows of a list of the dealer-configured options that are available. I'm hoping to pick my S up this week and would like to provide the dealer with my preferences for the different options, but have yet to see a definitive list anywhere. From looking through the manual and the forum, I've found the following:

*Central locking system lock when driving
*Key turn-and-hold for open/close all windows and sunroof
*Speed sensitive wipers (on or off)
*Selective central locking (I think this means do both doors unlock or only the driver's side)

Any others? Are these even correct? I'd like to avoid the long drive back to the dealership if possible. Well, to tell the truth I'd be looking forward to the drive, but I want to avoid the wait in the service center!

Well, I guess it's ok noone's answered yet because I just got an email from my dealer (knauz mini in IL) and they said they don't have the software to program anything yet! Nice going BMW.

Ah well. At least the drive back to Lake Bluff if they ever do get the software will hopefully be fun.

 

What dealership are you going through? You didn't go to Lake Bluff?
Mine should be in this weekend at Patrick - I'm hoping they have the program -I haven't heard from them regarding it.

The owner's manual (pp 41) has a list of "Examples for Vehicle Memory". They have 13 specific items listed, but imply that if you contact the dealer, you can get a more comprehensive list. SO; it's at least 13, maybe more!

Yeah, I went to Knauz. They say they don't have the software. That's bull if Patrick's got it. They don't seem to have any idea of what exactly is programmable there, even.

Maybe I should've gone to Patrick . . .
