R50/53 Crash info... interesting
#1
Today we had 2 Minis in our parking lot (aside from our own)! We were able to talk to the owners of both cars. One guy just dropped by to get books at a bookstore in our plaza, but walked out with an S Gas Cap Kit!
The other driver was a girl with a Pepper White that had been hit in the passanger's door. Someone had backed into her and messed it up a good bit! She had come to visit the Allstate claims office. The estimate, which included the door itself, the plastic door sill, all the labor and painting and blending was just over $900. That's very good. Even the Allstate Guy was impressed. Usually that kind of work ranges between 1.2K - 1.6K.
This is hopefully a good sign that insurance rates will remain reasonable, unless a bunch of people wack their Minis. Also, front end collisions may not be as cheap.
I just though I'd pass on the info since statistics play a big role in insurance rates. If any of you have any other info about this, I'd love to hear it.
