Your Dream Garage (R53 included)...
I posted this as my "dream garage" in another thread, but thinking about it makes me wonder what I'm missing. What would you put in your dream garage if you assume you keep your R53 and get to add 5 cars to it? I'd say my list is a little irrational, but it's also irrational to think I'll ever own any of these besides the first one.
- My MCS - CR/B:
- GP - The only color it comes in:
- M Coupe (the dork, not the new one) - Estoril Blue or Imola Red:
- E30 M3 - Cinnabar Red (I WILL own one of these some day):
- Cayman S - Not sure which color I like best, so here's silver:
- E39 M5 - Avus Blue or Imola Red (you know, the practical, 4-door car):
Now I can think of like 8 other cars that should be on this list.

Family Hauler: 2006 Volvo V70R wagon (6 speed)
Wife-mobile: BMW 335i drop-top
Daily Driver: 2006 Mini Cooper S JCW
Luxury Cruiser: 2001 BMW 740i (sport package)
Fun Weekend Machine: 2008 Tesla Roadster
Fast weekend machine: Carrera GT if were being TOTALLY irrational, but more realistically a Lamborghini Gallardo or Audi R8. (this last category is the hardest!)

Dont think I can get to 5..
But I'd start with my mini since I just enjoy driving it.
Second is a toss up between a BMW 135 that Dinan has had their way with, or a Nissan GTR.
I did get permission from my boss (read wife) to buy any car we could afford. It was the 135.. until I read the stupid stats on the GTR.. Now I want to drive that car to see if I really want it.. For some reason 0-60 in 3.3 seconds seems fast.. 72.9mph at the slalom seems incredibly fun.. My only problem with it is it is a Nissan...

We did have 5 cars, till we sold the 93 4Runner to a neighbor. The rest are:
06 MCS DS/LS
05 4Runner Ltd
01 MB SLK230 Compressor
93 MB 500SEL (23k orig miles!)
The MCS is my daily driver, but the SLK gets out on weekends, while my better half enjoys the other two beasties. Am seriously thinking of trading in the two MBs when the new BMW 135s come out though; but like mikenaron, the specs on the GT-R look outstanding to me too. I guess it's test-drive time in the spring!

5 cars.... hmmm...
track / autocross toys
front engine / front wheel drive: An aero-kitted pepper white Cooper (not S, just to confuse you guys)
mid engine / rear wheel drive: Lotus Exige S in the obnoxious green
rear engine / rear wheel drive: Porsche 911 (not sure which variant) in yellow
Thankfully, I'm not smitten by all wheel drive, so I can skip that classification
Range Rover Sport in black
Now, I need a practical vehicle that can get me through snow in the winter... BMW 328xi wagon in Crimson Red (there are no interesting colors in the 535xi wagon or I'd go for that) Unless the upcoming AWD, soft-roader MINI works out.

So many people hate it, but I love it. After reading everyone's responses, I'd like to amend mine to say "997 GT3 RS" instead of "Cayman S". Duh.

I'd keep my 2006 MC, just have more toys on it
then probably a Cooper S. not sure if it would be r53 of 56
A classic MINI
Exige S
New M3, if I didnt like it Id get the last gen, because if I can afford this garage, that wouldnt be a problem
This is really hard, there are so many cars I want.
Other possiblities.
E30 M3
Cayman S
M Coupe
Subaru STi
VW GTi
audi RS4
