Hi Yall,

I don't like the way the airbag warning looks on the dash.
Is the airbag warning on the passenger side supposed to be removed?
Is it illegal to remove it?
Has anyone taken it off?

In every other car the warning is usually on the back of the sunvisor.

My 's' get's here soon and i'm beging to obsess on the details!

Pebble.

I removed mine after the second day. when I detailed the car. The ones that I test drove did not have them on the dash so I dont see the harm in removing it. It is there to inform the passenger/operator of the hazards of the airbag, but with a little too uncommon, common sense you shouldnt put children in the front seat anyway.

Thanks.

I didn't want to end up like the Sheep who end up in jail for ripping off the warning from a matress!

Suggestions for best way to get it off? I gave it a cursory swipe with my fingernail and it seems like it's stuck on there pretty good. Didn't want to make a mess so I left it on for now. How'd you guys get it off?

Just pull on it, it will come off. Any sticky stuff left behind will come off with lighter fluid (the kind used in Zippo lighters) and a soft towel. It won't harm the dash at all. It is a very mild solvent.

I peeled off my sticker and used a very mild cleaner/wax with a cotton cloth to remove the adhesive. Worked great.

I picked up my new indi Blue (w/black) Cooper two days ago and asked about the airbag sticker during my drive-away walkthrough. The sales rep. laughed and said she'd take it off for me once she had reviewed the caution with me. She easily removed the decal and pasted it in the glovebox. Slick.

I never even saw one on mine. They must have removed it. I did see some doofus driving around with it still on the glove box (hope it wasn't anyone here) and wondered if they were trying to start a trend. Take it off for sure! "Goo-Gone" works great- citrus smelling, removes any kind of gunk and label adhesive safely without damaging anything. I used it to get the pesky dealer registration sticker off the window.
