REDICULOUS!!!!

Obviously, I did not purchase them. But now I need to find a better source for new spark plugs as no local part stores carry them either. After reading some threads it sounds like the OEs are the safest way to go for our cars. Is this the general consensus. If not, what other plugs would be good and which one's should I be sure to stay away from?
Is that all? Wow, my local dealer quoted me 45 bucks a pop.

Buy NGK Iridium's, just make sure you know what temperature they are.

NGK

I just replaced my stock plugs with NGK Iridiums - $6.99 per plug at Kragen Auto. Big difference.

Check out Motorwerks BMW/MINI in Minnesota. $59.72 each for a JCW spark plug! That place is such a joke.

Well I got the plugs yesterday at Checkers for $29.xx w/tax. The part number on the plug matched the stock part #.

Someone mentioned that the Laser Platinum is the stock plug. That is incorrect. The Laser Platinum is a 4-prong type plug. The MC stock plug is the typical NGK iridium plug sold by parts store... well at least at Checkers.

Closest alternative is NGK from the local Napa, definitely. I wouldn't go with any other brand. Champions are a joke and Autolites are crap. Don't get me started!

From: Washington. No, the other one.
Just remember that if you check the gap on the Iridiums, be careful. The center electrode is needle-thin and as brittle as glass. Don't ask.

I think I'm just going to assume they are correct enough from the factory rather than risk it. Besides, I'm sure that's what they do when they put in the original set (not that that is saying a ton)
